Who Are We?

Investing in real estate is exciting and should be fun! When you have a proficient team that is
dedicated to helping you before, during, and after the undertaking, anticipating problems or
issues, and working to bring about the best outcomes at every stage, you can focus on what
matters to you most — a hands-free, low-stress investment journey that will help you create the
lifestyle you imagine.

As children of real estate investors, we- Jasmine and Harish, have known about real estate ever
since we saw our respective parents use it to set up comfortable retirements, but took the long
route when turning our passion into our business.

Jasmine’s interest in the sciences initially led her to post-graduation studies (earning a Ph.D.), after
which she has spent over 15 years in the world of risk management and mitigation within the
Regulatory Sciences field.

Previously an entrepreneur in the retail space and co-owner of a foreign exchange brokerage,
as well as with a background in Human Resources, Harish uses an educational approach with
investors, ensuring they fully understand the investments they’re considering and each step of
the process.

Moving to Ottawa and finding inspiration in this phenomenal city led us to realize that we wanted
the freedom of money, time, and place that could allow us to put our young family first.

When purchasing our first Ottawa investment property, we found that we weren’t ready to let go of the experience. Although we already had full-time 9-to-5 jobs, we were hooked on real estate, and there was no turning back.

Qüvera was born! We focus on buy-and-hold new builds and value-add multifamily real estate in
Ottawa and Edmonton; we are excited to, in time, expand into other provinces and into the US
multifamily space.

We feel fortunate to have discovered, through the peers and mentors that guided us, a unique way of working in real estate that aligns with our personal and professional values. There was initially a lot of fear and uncertainty, but now we focus on our investors and their needs with a long-term perspective, helping clients with real estate investing issues or questions wherever and whenever they arise. Moreover, we view ourselves as partners, helping other 9-5ers, busy professionals, and investors not only to invest but to strategize toward long-term wealth building with real estate.

As we continue to grow our real estate portfolio, we are always looking for the right people to partner with us and who would like to share in the wealth creation. Our current pan-Canadian real-estate portfolio is spread across 42+ units. We also hold income earning private mortgage loans, and continue to invest in multi-family properties with our like-minded financial freedom seeking partners.

Our 'why' is our family and the freedom of time, money and location- the ability to spend time with the family, travel extensively, and to build generational wealth for them. We want to involve other people in our journey as partners, where we can create wealth together and win-win opportunities.

It can truly be a scary first step for regular people like you and us to take the leap of faith into the real-estate investment world. And not everyone has the time or the desire to be a landlord, manage tenants, or deal with property issues.

Meet the Qüvera Team

Jasmine Bhathena

Co-Founder

Jasmine learned her first lessons on real estate investing at the knee of her father, who successfully used real estate investing to set up his retirement portfolio. After bouncing around many different countries, she embraced Canada as home.

Together with husband Harish, she invests in Canadian real estate and works closely with a team of experts who help you make profit while minimizing risk. She is the spreadsheet creator and number cruncher-in-chief for Qüvera.

Jasmine has a very collaborative working style and is always happy to talk and share her knowledge, experience, and network to get you started - whether you are a new or veteran investor.

Harish Changlani

Co-Founder

Harish has never met a stranger in his life. He brings his extensive people skills to Qüvera, which stem from owning his own businesses, his background in Human Resources, and innate ability to connect with people easily.

Harish is keenly interested in finance, foreign exchange, and real estate. He leads the private financing arm of Qüvera by ensuring the creation of long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with like-minded investors and borrowers.
